Central America. At the Trinidad campus of the University of the West Indies of the Caribbean, the Caribbean Interpreting and Translation Bureau (CITB) offers translation services in 12 different languages, as well as interpreters and audio conferencing solutions for regional meetings.
In order to provide the highest quality to its high-profile clients, such as the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Caribbean Agro-Economic Society and the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development, the CITB chose Shure's DIS conference systems.
Working closely with Caribbean Entertainment Technologies Ltd. (CET), a local company dedicated to the integration of professional audio-visual systems, Shure's DCS 6000 Digital Conference System was chosen, combining comprehensive hardware and software options to efficiently and securely handle even the largest meetings with absolute control and reliability.
With a variety of portable, touchscreen, flush-mounted conferencing units, the DCS 6000 can be tailored to the specific needs or protocols of any group or organization, perfect for different CITB customers and university students.
Caribbean Entertainment Technologies provided DCS 6000 equipment to the university for on-campus meetings and student use. In addition, additional items were purchased to support the realization of the projects of the CITB clients.
To help the CITB host multinational meetings, the DCS 6000 Digital Conference System allows simultaneous interpretation in up to 31 languages and is expandable up to 3,800 delegate units. In addition, for greater management convenience, it is possible to control the system with a tablet or computer through a network browser interface or with an external room control system.
