Mexico. Following up on what was agreed during TecnoMultimedia InfoComm 2014, more than 25 women from the AV Industry in Mexico gathered at their second meeting, organized by Margarita Reyes Canchola.
It also featured Leslie Maccord, Cedia's Director of Education Events, and Leslie Shiner, author, trainer and Finance and Management Advisor, Cedia's coach.
The meeting served for Mexican AV women to analyze the growth and constant change of the AV industry in the country, the importance of education in business, the role that women play in them, the challenge they face with machismo even in this XXI century, opportunities both in technology and in business and about personal experiences and anecdotes as housewives, mothers and working women.
Mexico is the first country in Latin America to form this group, and thanks to its positive response the experience was replicated in Colombia and Venezuela. Through networking and with the firm intention that more and more women join the group, a next meeting will be held in June and then within the Tecnomultimedia InfoComm Expo, which will be held between August 12 and 14.
The session ended with a pleasant and interesting talk between executives, but, above all, between successful women in the AV industry.
