InfoComm. Audinate, creator of Dante, will have a prominent participation in the edition of InfoComm 2015 held in Orlando. In addition to announcing the introduction of its Dante Via software, Audinate has launched a social media competition, #DanteEverywhere, which offers all visitors to Dante partners the opportunity to win, among other prizes, an Apple Watch.
InfoComm Audinate will demonstrate Dante Via, a revolutionary new software application that extends the audio network to encompass USB, FireWire or Thunderbolt-compatible audio devices, or any audio application. The software transforms computer audio interfaces and sound cards into networked devices, connectable to each other and with more than 400 Dante-compatible products.
In the demo, Dante Via will connect multiple audio devices and applications directly to an audio network and to each other. Dante Via offers a completely new computer-based audio routing that offers a large number of applications and devices the possibility to connect with great ease and without great expenses.
Dante Via opens doors to a large number of new uses, such as the option to seamlessly transfer sound to rooms attached to the main one, the application of isolation and audio playback in public places or the connection of local audio devices – for example, headphones – to a Dante network to facilitate channel monitoring.
More than 70 Dante partners plan to exhibit this year at InfoComm, where hundreds of Dante-compatible products will also be showcased. To highlight the breadth of the Dante ecosystem, Audinate has organized a social media contest that under the name of "Dante Everywhere" will allow participants to win t-shirts, free Dante Via software licenses and, as a great trophy, an Apple Watch.
To participate in the contest, attendees only have to locate the Dante Spoken Here signs distributed throughout the contest and send photos of them to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #DanteEverywhere. The participant who sends five photos or more can visit the Audinate stand where they will be given a t-shirt and the possibility of accessing a raffle of the other prizes.
