Argentina. The Government of the City of Buenos Aires organized the first Internet of Things contest in the country. The contest was launched at the national level, and invited to "use cities as a platform for ideas" to reward and encourage research, development and innovation in the creation of solutions that benefit well-being in cities, using strategies and technologies of impact.
The call led to the presentation of 45 projects developed by students, entrepreneurs, developers and startups. Bruno Rovagnati, Senior VP and Managing Director for Latam of R/GA, participated, together with outstanding professionals and referents of new technologies, in the selection of the most outstanding projects with innovative solutions for the City.
The initiative was carried out by the Ministry of Modernization through the General Directorate of Innovation and Open Government, using public information as a platform for the generation of new products and services in the resolution of the most complex urban and public challenges.
