Convergencia has 7,500 screens installed

Argetina. There are many cases of large companies that have failed in their digital signage project for having transferred the formula of best practices and international technology to Latin America. Ignorance of the particular context and not working with local integrators have been some of the causes of this failure.

Latin America offers a reality that must be addressed in a particular way when proposing a Digital Signage solution. Aspects such as bandwidth, the use of shared networks, outdated infrastructure and the large extension of the territories of the region, make it a completely different scenario to that presented in Europe or the United States.

And it is precisely this reality that the Argentine company Convergencia has understood in its eight years of service and what has allowed it to have more than 7,500 screens installed and in operation in 200 cities of which, in addition, they carry out the management, administration and audit.

The knowledge of the region gave them access to the Digital Signage Expo 2015 as speakers and moderators in two talks related to the Latin American region: Management of Operational Challenges in Latin America and the Globalization of the Americas.

In addition to its know-how, the strategic alliance with Intel Corp and the exclusive regional distribution of Haivision Coolsign, it guarantees Convergencia Digital's customers robust and scalable digital signage solutions developed under strict international quality standards.

The mix is completed with the local development Dinamyc Data Solution (DDS), which allows to transmit the information that unifies video and dynamic data on the same screen, achieving a balance between HD Quality, Visual Impact, Response Speed and Limited Costs. What is necessary to have a successful development in Latin America.

How does DDS work? Content consists of dynamic layers. The layout occupies one layer, the photos and videos another and the information dynamic. For example, prices; programming all layers independently. The layers are combined in real time which makes the final result perceived as a high quality video.

This unique technology optimizes, not only the updating of information immediately, but also uses a minimum percentage of network use and bandwidth allowing, in addition, to collect data from databases, social networks and other sources, composing the content in a dynamic and programmatic way; thus avoiding  the traditional processes of production of parts and videos.
