Colombia. This year the inhabitants and tourists who go to Bucaramanga, called 'The beautiful city', enjoy new attractions that make it a main destination in the country, thanks to its Ecopark El Santísimo and the viaduct of the 9th race, the latter built to decongest and unite the transit of the north with the south of the capital of Santander.
The civil works are admired both in the day, because it is the largest cable-stayed bridge in Latin America, and at night, thanks to the spectacle provided by the LED lighting developed by Phillips, with the capacity to reproduce up to 16 and a half million light tones, some of them almost imperceptible to the human eye.
The third viaduct that the city has is compared to the Bosphorus Bridge, which connects the tips of the strait of the same name to communicate with Istanbul (Turkey) for its six traffic lanes and its architectural decoration of LED lights, designed to provide a spectacle of lights and asymmetrical movements with high technology. But the Bumangues bridge differs by having its lighting with asymmetric matrix technology, which through the DMX 512 protocol integrates images, texts, logos and multimedia messages.
This architectural lighting is unique in Latin America because the LED specialty that the infrastructure has, has the ability to reproduce 23 frames of images per second, which are in some cases undetectable for our vision due to the quality and speed in the conformation of one image to another.
This technology can be programmed by the experts and responsible for the management of the lighting of the bridge from any technological device, that is, from a laptop, electronic tablet or cell phone type "Smartphone". The expert can program the itinerary by days, hours, themes by the colors and types of messages that will be projected on the viaduct.
The total cost of lighting the bridge was $4,615,384, which includes the functional and architectural lighting of the infrastructure.
