Homecenter bets on home automation with Ozom

Colombia. Sodimac, consistent with its innovation strategy, has developed  exclusively for its customers in the Homecenter stores and its Online store Homecenter.com.co and telephone sales, Ozom, the new line of home automation products that allows you to control the home from anywhere.

Ozom is a new product technology that through an application allows you to control the home from anywhere through a computer, smartphone or tablet.

According to Felipe Vélez Jaramillo, Business Manager in charge of the Ozom brand of Sodimac Colombia, so far, home automation systems have been characterized by their high costs, in addition to cumbersome installations that require special wiring structures. "Ozom is different because it connects wirelessly and offers different kits at prices that anyone can afford. This is precisely what the Company bet on with this development."

Ozom's operating system is very simple and easy to use. It is centralized in an OzomBox, which functions as the integral brain of the system and coordinates all the devices that you want to install, which must be connected to the Internet router of the house.

All the products of the system communicate through a wireless network and the user can acquire the kits according to their tastes and needs, once they have the installation set that includes the OzomBox.

These products can be purchased exclusively at Homecenter chain stores. "We want to offer our consumers a line of home automation that offers multiple benefits at really unique costs in the market. In addition, the possibility of each user can complement their automation system by giving them the opportunity to acquire products independently according to each need, "said Felipe Vélez.

Among the products that the Ozom system offers and can be purchased independently are the Carbon Monoxide SensorSmart, Smoke SensorSmart and Water SensorSmart, which foresees and prevents accidents for a safer home.

To put into operation the Ozom home automation system it is essential that the house has Internet and download the application that works from PC, tablet and smartphones with Android and IOS operating system.
