Mexico. SGM has recently organized a seminar in Mexico City, held at the headquarters of its distributor Representaciones de Audio, RDA. The 18 attendees are SGM users in different segments of the industry, such as theater, rental companies, shows and entertainment centers.
This two-day event is part of the SGM International Training Academy, whose objective is to strengthen the learning and dissemination of all concepts related to the technical support of SGM products. The courses the company offers include all levels, from complex fundamentals for official distributors to complete retrospectives for end users. In this case, the attendees of the seminar have been able to learn in depth various aspects related to the maintenance and operation of SGM LED luminaires.
The products selected for the training were the P (wash) series, the Q series (flood-blind-strobe), the LS series (LED video screens), the SGM G-Spot moving head and also the SGM SixPack pixel blinder. During the course, subjects such as updating firmware in luminaires, RDM and RFID control protocols or support tools such as the SGM Vacuum Test Kit were taught. In addition, all participants attended in-depth demonstrations and received instructions on how to assemble and disassemble the products.
Ben Díaz and Per Sained Brandborg represented SGM from the factory, while Manuel Tapia and Alfonso Reyes coordinated the event for Audio Performances.
The Area Manager and Product Trainer at SGM, Ben Díaz, commented that "This event is part of a process that wants to demonstrate the extent to which Latin America is important to us. With these seminars we bring the factory closer to SGM users, speaking the same language and offering answers and immediate solutions for all their doubts. We don't just want to be the leaders in LED technologies and innovation; our purpose is to become the reference manufacturer in terms of support and after-sales service. The feedback we have received from the attendees makes us believe that we are on the right track, although this event is just one of the many actions we are developing for the region."
