Argentina. The Mercado a Plazo de Buenos Aires (MATba), an entity with a centuries-old tradition in the operation of agricultural commodities in Argentina that registers and guarantees future operations and options, has just installed in its operating room the largest videowall in the country, with a width of 9.60 meters and a height of 2.75 meters. To manage it, it has used two units of the Christie TVC-700 processor, a powerful manager of the most complex information sources.
The videowall consists of 32 monitors of 55 inches of ultra thin edge, placed horizontally, and distributed in four rows and eight columns. The installation was carried out by Digital Media, an Argentine digital signage company that provides solutions, services and products for digital content in displays, LED TVs, monitors and videowalls.
The matba trading hall is a space where buyers and sellers meet to carry out operations in the form of an auction. As part of the redesign project of this enclosure, the installation of the videowall facilitates a more dynamic and effective management in the publication of quotes. The objective of the MATba with this modernization is to reinforce its commitment to technological renewal, transparency and the constant improvement of professional experience in the market of future and options.
Christie's two processors are located on the back of the video wall, mounted in trays inside the structure. They are responsible for the control of the system and are used to display in a dynamic and programmed way different contents on the screen. These contents are taken from applications that show the prices of cereals in various markets around the world. To this end, the MATba carried out a modernization and expansion of its data network, in addition to developing applications for the publication, management and loading of prices in this visual system.
Digital Media did pre-sales engineering work where it analyzed customer requirements and recommended Christie's equipment. "The MATba chose this Videowall management solution from Christie because it was the most recommended for its environment taking into account the complexity and criticality of the productive environment," explains Diego Bianchi, Manager of Digital Media Solutions.
And he adds: "The most interesting feature of the Christie TVC-700 processor is its powerful software that allows you to dynamically manage multiple contents from multiple sources on the 32 monitors that this video wall has."
"We are delighted that our video wall processors are installed in such an emblematic market as the MATba," says Jorge García, Christie's Sales Manager in Latin America. "Christie offers a wide spectrum of controllers, video processors and displays for videowalls and control rooms of the highest level, totally reliable and adaptable to any environment and any budget," he concludes.
Christie's TVC-700 controller has the ability to simultaneously manage hundreds of sources and display them in high resolution anywhere, in any size and in any number of windows throughout a video wall, no matter if the source is analog or digital, that it connects directly or through the network, or that it is RGB or video. The TVC-700 is PC-based, easy to use and has been purpose-built to cope with the harshness of 24/7 control room environments.
