Colombia. For the launch in Colombia of the new fragrance AXE Black Night of the men's fragrance brand, the company Vinilo Lab created a mapping and laser show with Christie's Pandoras Box system.
The event, baptized as Fiesta Axe, was attended by 1500 people who were invited to a nightclub to live "an unexpected night", as the slogan spread by the brand read. There they were able to enjoy an evening full of music, but they were also surprised by a projection mapping and a laser show that took all the prominence of the day.
The páramo agency was responsible for the organization of the event, while Vinilo Lab developed all the graphic contents of the mapping and supplied the video and laser technique.
The mapping, which basically consisted of graphics with bright colors, movement and effects, was carried out on the frame of the stage, with a surface of 24 meters wide by 7 high, as well as on a dummy to scale the product that had dimensions of 6 meters high x 5 wide.
Three Christie Roadster HD20K-J of 3DLP® technology, 20,000 lumens and Full HD resolution were used as projectors. Two of them projected onto the entire stage frame, and the third was responsible for illuminating the product dummy in the center of the stage.
Christie Pandoras Box was the solution responsible for managing the blending and warping of the projections, as well as the synchronization of the laser show and the two Haser smoke machines used. Specifically, Vinilo Lab used Pandoras Box Manager, Pandoras Box Server Quad and Pandoras Box Widget Designer.
The different projection surfaces, the varied dimensions and the formats specific to each medium contributed to the complexity of the project. But pandoras Box's versatility made it all work without the slightest shock: "We love Pandoras Box because it's versatile, stable, and we can always scale it up to where the customer needs it," said Eduardo Ortega, CEO of Vinilo Lab.
This company specialized in conceptualization of emerging technologies and development of digital content has a huge experience using Pandoras Box for the most varied multimedia shows. "It is a product that offers unlimited creativity in multimedia design and that has no technical limitations in the global synchronization of the most varied elements for live productions," said Eduardo Ortega.
