Panasonic expands its range of professional 4K screens

Latin America. Panasonic Business introduced a new series of large-format professional 4K displays, which are available in 86- and 98-inch models with a brightness of 500 cd/m2, representing an excellent solution for digital signage or for use in corporate, educational and retail environments.

The SQ1 series, which has been exhibited for the first time at this year's InfoComm fair in Las Vegas, features a lightweight, compact and elegant design, with a bright and efficient panel that offers exceptional visibility and uninterrupted operation.

This series has been specially designed for autonomous or networked signaling, as it combines high image performance with high adaptability and exceptional efficiency. The two displays include Intel's® Smart Display Module (SDM) to improve processing and integration capability.

Hartmut Kulessa, Marketing Director at Panasonic, explained that "The addition of intel's Intelligent Display Module (Intel SDM) allows us to deliver a sleek, compact and scalable display that simplifies interface integration, signage installations and platform management."

José Álvaro Avalos, Vice President of the Internet of Things Group and Global Head of Visual Retail and Digital Signage at Intel Corporation, said: "We are very pleased that Panasonic has adopted the Intel Intelligent Display Module (Intel SDM) specification in its new SQ1 series of 4K displays. Our collaboration offers a flexible, integrated and scalable solution that will help companies interact and work together more easily and efficiently."

The SQ1 series complements the EQ1 range of six basic professional 4K displays, with sizes from 43 to 86 inches, which were presented at ISE 2018. The EQ1 series' 4K resolution enables high-impact images with a brightness of 350 cd/m, making it a cost-effective solution for public spaces, commercial premises, corporate meeting rooms and classrooms.

The EQ1 series will be available in autumn 2018. The SQ1 series is scheduled to be available in December 2018.
