Mexico. Bose Professional reported on the enhancements available for its ControlSpace product line that include increased functionality for both systems integration professionals and the end user. Many of the new features are related to Audinate's Dante protocol, which it has positioned as the new industry standard.
The ControlSpace ecosystem now includes a wide range of DSPs with network connectivity, power amplifiers and new Dante terminals; the ESP-1600 sound processor; the ControlSpace Remote app, ready for free download, which will allow the end user to control the system from iOS and Android devices and now also on Windows, in addition to the new features added to version 4.3 of the ControlSpace Designer software.
By combining the use of ControlSpace audio processors, Bose PowerMatch amplifiers, the new Dante ControlSpace terminals and expansion cards, system integrators will reap the following benefits:
- Much simpler creation of Dante-based solutions and conditioning of installed audio applications.
- Complete Dante network configuration from ControlSpace Designer software, including audio control, monitoring and routing.
- Control over systems of any size through automatable Dante connections when using ControlSpace Designer software.
- Using Dante terminals with PoE (Power over Ethernet) in any situation where an analog device needs to be converted to Dante, which reduces the use of analog cabling while taking advantage of existing network cabling.
Facilitate the operation to the end user, thanks to the ControlSpace Remote app, a useful configurable tool for the installer, which allows remote control of the sound system from the comfort of an iOS or Android mobile device and now also Windows
ControlSpace ESP-1600 Sound Processor
With its ready-to-receive design for up to 16 analog signals, the ControlSpace ESP-1600 expands the Bose line of sound processors with fixed I/O connections. The ESP-1600 integrates an ESPLink output for sending eight digital audio channels to one or more PowerMatch amplifiers and, when combined with a Dante card, transforms into a powerful input signal processor for sound distribution over a Dante network, of high quality and with an attractive cost-benefit ratio.
Dante End Points by ControlSpace
ControlSpace's Dante terminals (EP22-D, EP40-D, WP22B-D and WP22BU-D) complement ControlSpace ESP products and the PowerMatch line, as well as allowing their configuration and control through ControlSpace Designer software. Available in both wall-mounted and rack-mounted versions, they facilitate installation in a wide variety of spaces (tables, cabinets, different surfaces or shelves).
Bose Control Space's Dante terminals represent the most convenient and cost-effective method for connecting analog devices such as microphones or amplifier-mixers.
App ControlSpace Remote
Designed for the end user to have a wireless control solution, the ControlSpace Remote app is a tool that the installer can configure and leave ready for use through any Android or iOS mobile device. The ControlSpace Remote app is available for free download from the Google Play™ Store and App Store, and can be integrated into a new or existing facility where Bose's electronic systems network.
ControlSpace Designer Software v.4.3
The new version 4.3 of the Bose ControlSpace Designer software has been released and is available for download from the sitiohttp://pro.Bose.com. The program update includes:
- Remote management capability to update, monitor, and make changes to the system design from an external point.
- New "custom" option for mixers, routers and font selectors, which will allow the user to specify the block size required.
- Integrated programming for two new Dante solutions from the manufacturer Audio-Technica: the ATND971 condenser microphone for surface mounting and cardioid pattern and the ATND8677, a microphone for table installation, both enabled to work with Dante.
- A new Hardware Manager that allows a simplified adjustment of the system, by locating the settings of both the network and the devices in a central control element.
- Text labels, tagging for inputs/outputs, plus other minor improvements that facilitate a simpler and easier to understand design.
