With the help of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the researchers are working on a product that seeks to be much more efficient with electronic energy, since they have managed to reduce the phenomenon of "efficiency drop" which indicates that an LED bulb is efficient when receiving low-intensity electric current, but lose performance when the electric current has greater density.
The group of researchers also highlighted that in the active region of the LEDs they had to change some traditional materials that prevented the leakage of electrons to reduce the drop in efficiency.
