. Cedia recently released its fourth paper in a series on the HDMI topic. The latter is called "Understanding EDID", which will familiarize electronic systems professionals with the techniques to read and emulate the capabilities of EDID (extended display information data) devices.
The paper also provides a look at EDIDs in repeater devices and splitters and offers keys to solving interoperability problems when examining the EDID.
