International. An anechoic chamber is what was called the enclosure that is capable of absorbing 99.9% of sounds, developed in the United States by Orfield Laboratories.
To achieve sound absorption, the scientists used a system that includes materials such as glass and synthetic foams. The walls are covered with wedges in the form of pyramids, which are placed on the original walls of the enclosure.
Thus it is possible to avoid the entry of the sound that is produced on the outside and absorbs that produced inside, making the simple voice in a normal tone imperceptible if the listener is more than one meter away from the emitter. The average sound inside is -9 decibels and reverberation does not exist.
This camera, which has already been linked in the Guinness World Records, is based on the enclosures used by car and appliance manufacturing companies to evaluate the sound produced by their new designs. NASA also tests the ability of its astronauts on similar systems.
But one of the factors that its creators have highlighted is the ability of a person to endure inside this enclosure, because they established that being 45 minutes inside can lead them to go crazy, because humans are not used to enduring absolute silence.
The tests carried out in this regard indicate that after a period people begin to hear the beats of their heart, their stomach and even begin to make noises with their body to interrupt the silence.
