One of the characteristics of the lighting installed at Barajas airport is that it does not contain mercury. In addition, they are easy to recycle, their ignition is immediate and unlimited, they do not produce heat and there are few infrared and ultraviolet emissions.
So far, areas such as access roads, parking areas and the surrounding gardens have been intervened. It is estimated that these systems save about 6,000 euros in maintenance and costs related to consumption.
This year they have installed 15 street lamps that have a modern design that is designed to have a correct integration with the style of the architectural works of Madrid airport.
