International. The company Hella presented to the market a new lamp for vehicle lighting, called Premium bi-LED 90 mm, which reduces power and fuel consumption, in addition to CO2 emissions of vehicles.
According to the company, this is an ideal lamp for commercial vehicles, vehicles on rails, caravans and motorcycles. In addition, its dipped-beam and high-beam functions are created with a single LED light source.
Because the product has been conceived in such a way that it can be combined with more than 40 modules of the 90 mm Premium series, at any time the user can seamlessly switch from halogen or xenon technology to LED.
The system has several ribs to achieve passive cooling; it has an active fan and no moving parts. Thanks to these features it does not need maintenance.
It also offers more than 15,000 hours of service and, thanks to its robust structure and plastic disperser, is protected against dust and water, and is resistant to vibration and gravel.
The white light, created by six high-power LEDs, is concentrated by means of the free geometry plastic reflector and the 70 mm precision lens, free of optics, which projects it onto the road. All this achieves optimal lighting of the road, very similar to daylight, so the appearance of fatigue is effectively reduced.
The module has EEC type-approval and is suitable for 12 and 24 V on-board networks.
