International. Biamp Systems introduced Tesira 2.3 which implements IEEE 1722.1 AVB support, enabling standards-based interoperability with other IEEE 1722.1 compliant devices, giving customers greater confidence in expansion and customization options for networked audio installations.
Tesira's increased reporting capabilities include status and failure reporting for series expansion devices – making it easier for large configurations to quickly identify and fix systems. If an expander is not working as expected, that device can be easily identified along with the expander's status or condition.
For systems incorporating Audio-Technica microphones, Tesira 2.3 offers explicit input blocks in Tesira software for the ATND971 and ATND8677 Dante units. With a DAN-1 card, Tesira not only receives network audio from the AT microphones, but through the new blocks, the system designers can design the exact button and LED controls. The new block can also accommodate up to 32 microphones with identical values.
Tesira 2.3 firmware is now available on the Biamp website.
