International. Businesses, broadcasters and places of worship now have a low-cost way to reduce remote video infrastructures. Haivision introduced Media Gateway, a video streaming solution that collects and distributes video streams to and from multiple locations, giving organizations a cost-effective alternative to satellite networks or MPLS for live video transport.
It was developed with Haivision's SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) technology, which optimizes streaming performance over unpredictable networks, ensuring packet recovery, security and network surveillance.
With Haivision Media Gateway, users can:
- Convert streams to and from SRT and the MPEG Transport Stream (TS) standard, for video distribution within a LAN and SRT for transport over WAN.
- Aggregate flows from multiple facilities to a central location for the direct return network and broadcast monitoring.
- Replicate a live stream from a central location and distribute it to multiple facilities across public and private networks.
- It allows broadcasters to harvest live video content from multiple remote production locations, aggregation of SRT streams, and re-distribute the streams as TS at a central production site.
- Gateway's Haivision Media ability to replicate SRT streams (one or many) and distribute them across private and public networks allows faith-based organizations across multiple sites to bring congregations together remotely with live HD video.
