Arri expands its L series with the L10 fresnel

Latin America. Arri announced the L10, the latest addition to the L-Series family of LED fresnels, which also include the portable L5 and the mid-range L7. The addition of the L10 fulfills the mission of offering a complete line of high-performance LED Fresnels for the different markets: film, broadcast, theatrical and live entertainment.

The L10 is the brightest and largest spotlight in the L-Series to date. Its solid 10" Fresnel lens and powerful light output allow this device to be placed at a greater distance and its light to wrap objects in a more pleasant and natural way.

Tunability is the cornerstone of all Arri LED devices and as with the L7 and L5 – their smaller counterparts – the L10 has full colour tunability. With the ability to adjust the color temperature from 2800 to 10000 K as well as the green/magenta dot, users have complete control over the color output of the device.

As with the other lights on the L-Series, the L10 comes in three versions: the L10-C (Color), L10-TT (Tunable Tungsten) and the L10-DT (Tunable Daylight). While the L10-C is the most versatile in terms of color tunability as it produces vivid colors with saturation control, the L10-TT and L10-DT are brighter than the L10-C and still offer a limited range of color temperature tuning (CCT).

Consuming just 400 watts, the L10 is incredibly energy efficient. The L10-TT and DT versions have a luminosity level that is close to that of the tungsten Fresnel of 2000 watts. This means that with the same energy consumption of a conventional 2kW tungsten light five L10 lights can operate and achieve almost five times the light power.

The L-Series family represents a shift in how television studios and film sets can be illuminated. The flexibility and tunability of the L-Series' lights allow for quick and easy color changes, which in turn opens up more creative possibilities in less time. The quality and color reproduction surpass most of the existing LED products on the market.
