International. Two years after announcing its entry into the media player market, BroadSign International, LLC, launches its second hardware product, Xpress Pro.
It is based on an Intel quad-core processor and the Windows Embedded 8.1 system of the Pro industry. With 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, it's twice as powerful as its predecessor, albeit at almost half the size.
The Android-based Xpress was created to supply BroadSign customers with a cost-effective, high-quality media player and sold 12,000 units after just 18 months on the market. The release of Xpress Pro is complemented by providing networking with a larger set of features at an even reasonably different price point.
"We oversee many implementations and work closely with our customers when it comes to selecting media players. The combination of Intel and Windows offered by Xpress Pro is well suited to the most complex use cases," said Bryan Mongeau, Vice President of Technology at BroadSign.
As with the release of BroadSign Xpress, BroadSign will conduct a beta program that invites customers (BroadSign Trailblazers) to try out the first round of BroadSign Xpress Pro. Xpress Pro's expected delivery date is in the third quarter of 2015.
