Mexico. Pyng is an application from Crestron that facilitates the programming work, necessary to start an automation and control system in residences and offices. Last year Pyng allowed the commissioning of lamps, curtains and Crestron's own control system, today the functions of distributed music and the configuration of the touch screens of the New Jersey firm are added.
Another interesting innovation is the possibility of obtaining data on the uses of electronic subsystems in a residence or in a building. They are collected and stored in the cloud and displayed graphically in the iPad app.
The new version of the Pyng app greatly facilitates the configuration of the audio system distributed in each room of the house. Users can enjoy popular streaming services, including Spotify, Pandora and Rhapsody, this wirelessly using Airplay. In addition, family members can play the music stored in iTunes and in their digital music libraries, using WiFi or USB pickups.
Crestron offers its dealers the flexibility to offer total audio systems that do not require programming. Now, the Pyng app can operate with a wide range of the brand's distributed audio solutions.
The Pyng app also runs directly onto the TSW-552/752/1052 touch screens as soon as they connect to the network, eliminating the need for a laptop to configure user interfaces. When custom interfaces are selected, Crestron Smart Graphics allows integrators to quickly add Pyng controls to designs for touchscreens, Android devices, iPhone and iPad while maintaining the same theme in the rest of the projects.
Pyng makes a residence even smarter by understanding how it is used. Through identifying trends and understanding when and how rooms are used and how long a day, Pyng makes the necessary adjustments to save energy and money.
The cloud-based service collects the information and displays it graphically on the iPad. Peaks of use can be easily seen. For example, if the lights were left on in the basement during the day when no one is home or after leaving. An economical occupancy sensor could be added to significantly reduce waste.
The Crestron App is available in the App store. Integrators and homeowners who are currently using Crestron Pyng, have new features at their fingertips through automatic application updates.
