International. Cisco once again reinvents the collaboration experience by combining in the same offer managed from the cloud the three types of communication most demanded by users at work: meetings, messaging and calls.
Likewise, the company has announced in the framework of the Collaboration Summit event held in San Francisco the possibility of connecting its phones and videoconferencing systems to the cloud to access these services through them.
The new Cisco Spark and Cisco Spark Hybrid Services proposals facilitate an innovative experience for users by providing from the Cisco Cloud platform:
A secure and simple collaboration. Today, most workers use offline solutions to hold virtual meetings, share messages with their teams, and make phone calls. The new Cisco Spark offering combines meetings, messaging and calling in a very simple way in the same solution. For example, with a single click it is possible to convert a phone call into a video meeting or transfer a video-call from a virtual meeting room to the user's mobile phone and move it to another room so that communication is never lost even if we are on the move.
The possibility of connecting telephony systems to the cloud. Organizations have invested heavily in telephone systems and other equipment that are installed in their offices. Cisco Spark Hybrid Services allows you to connect these computers to the cloud. For example, making a call from a Cisco IP phone automatically creates a meeting in a Spark room that both partners have access to and where they can share content with a simple click. It is a totally transparent experience for users, since it is not necessary to configure such a room, which is available for when it is needed.
In addition, Cisco Spark Hybrid Services can interconnect the functionality of on-premises hosted calendars to the cloud, greatly simplifying the preparation and management of virtual meetings even from the mobile device; simply type "@spark" or "@webex" in the location details when creating an invitation, and Cisco Spark will create a room for the group to share ideas and content.
A great facility to configure desk phones and video rooms, in a way as simple as through a QR code.
APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) open for third-party developers to design innovative applications that extend the value of Spark thanks to Cisco Spark for Developers.
