Latin America. Sennheiser introduced the new high-end headphones that offer an unprecedented audio experience. The electrostatic hearing aid system combines the most innovative technology with luxury materials and high quality craftsmanship, carefully selected. A masterpiece that will be available starting in Germany, with an approximate cost of 50,000 euros.
The design of the new high-end headphones provide a sound so bright that it evokes the feeling of being in a concert hall, fulfilling Sennheiser's vision: to surpass everything that has been heard before. And it was just between 1990 and 1991 when audio specialist Sennheiser achieved just this, creating an audio engineering masterpiece, an industry icon: Orpheus headphones. Almost 25 years later, Sennheiser opens a new chapter in the history of audio with Orpheus' successor, the new HE 1060.
The HE 1060 offers the ultimate in accurate reproduction, exceptional spatiality and a frequency response that extends far beyond human hearing. To make this possible, a team of Sennheiser experts spent nearly a decade working continuously.
The unique experience of the HE 1060 begins even before you start listening. When the system is idle, all components retract making the new HE 1060 look like a beautiful sculpture.
By gently selecting the on/off control, the sculpture comes to life: the components – handmade from a single piece of brass and then plated in chrome – slowly extend from the marble case so that the vacuum-closed tubes in glass quartz bulbs rise, allowing the hearing aids with genuine leather finishes, be withdrawn.
The selection of all materials is consistent with the acoustic excellence of this iconic product. Each of its more than 6,000 components was meticulously chosen. To ensure exceptional acoustic performance, the audio specialist uses unique parts such as vaporized gold ceramic electrodes and vaporized platinum diaphragms. The marble that Sennheiser chose to store the amplifier comes from Carrara in Italy and is the same type of marble that Michelangelo used to create his sculptures.
The design of the HE 1060 follows the principle of pushing the boundaries of what is possible, in order to visualize Sennheiser's ambition to create perfection in every detail.
