Latin America. Avid announced a new update to the industry-standard digital audio software, Avid ProTools, which will be available to those ProTools 12 users with Avid All Access plans. The latest enhancements continue to fulfill the Avid Everywhere vision by enabling audio and music professionals to collaborate and keep their creative process moving forward.
Avid continues to deliver more value to Pro Tools customers with an update focused on the much-anticipated Track Freeze feature, to handle, simplify and accelerate processor-intensive sessions and further facilitate collaborative workflows.
These enhancements surpass Pro Tools 12.3's previous Commit and Track Bounce workflows so audio professionals can work more efficiently and can also easily prepare their projects for mixing and collaborating with others, or for final delivery.
With Freeze, Commit and Track Bounce in Pro Tools 12.4, users have a good number of tools to adapt to any situation and workflow that comes their way. These tools include:
Track Freeze: A great way to quickly free up DSP resources on the fly to keep the creative process moving forward with the ability to come back to make a quick adjustment when needed.
Track Commit: Another wonderful way to free up DSP resources, but users can also edit and make changes to the newly created clip and choose what to do with the original track.
Track Bounce: To be typically used for track stems or final output renderings for file or for workflows that require moving audio files to other software platforms.
This combined functionality offers the most powerful implementation for the Freeze-like workflows of any digital audio workstation on the market.
The new perpetual licenses for Pro Tools 12 include a renewable one-year All Access plan that gives customers access to the latest updates as well as a new bundle of creative plug-ins for the entire year. All All Access plans are also included in subscription licenses and are available for the duration of the subscription.
