Latin America. The commerce sector is one of the vertical markets in which Panasonic has focused its technological offer of B2B solutions, so in the framework of CES 2016 it presented the latest innovations for specialized stores, department stores and large shopping centers.
Below is a summary of the new audiovisual and interactive technologies that the company exhibited:
Transparent Screens
Panasonic has advanced in the performance and dimensions of the transparent screens for projection that were shown in the past CES, so in the edition of CES 2016 presents the improvements of this technology. The ability to project images on transparent surfaces will allow the design of large and very attractive shop windows in which the exhibition of real objects is combined with video effects or content that highlight the characteristics of the products and demonstrate their operation.
High Speed Mapping Projection
Projection mapping applications, which adjust the display of images to the size and shape of the surface intended as a screen, have evolved to such a degree that it is now possible that these are, for example, the own clothes of a group of dancers who move as part of a promotional routine. Thanks to advances in software and the fast performance of the system, images will be projected onto the defined surface regardless of whether people move quickly from one place to another.
Space Player: Static Mapping Projection
To project images, logos or graphics on different areas of a store or to "paint" the products displayed in colors, the Space Player solution is ideal for its simple operation and versatility of options. This product works from a laser lamp with brightness of up to 1,000 lumens that unfolds contents from a wide variety of sources. The lamp can be installed in any position and then modify its orientation, which increases the possibilities of use according to the assembly of the exhibition space.
Future Mirror: Interactive Mirror
Designed for demonstration applications and promotion of cosmetics, hair dyes or jewelry brands, Panasonic presents the Future Mirror concept, an interactive mirror that, through a very precise and high-resolution camera, detects the shape of a person's face, porosity, expression lines, spots and wrinkles on their skin to recommend the different products, colors, tones and shapes that could be part of a new personal image through the use of a Virtual Makeup tool.
The Future Mirror will also be able to suggest facials with cleaning products, moisturizing lotions or firming creams from the information displayed on the surface of the mirror that becomes an interactive display.
POS Systems for Point of Sale
The Japanese company showed mobile solutions for point of sale (POS) terminals through the handheld device model Toughpad R1, a robust tablet with Windows® operating system, which communicates via NFC with other equipment (for example, a printer) and incorporates technology of identification of the chip and PIN of bank cards, in addition to verification of the signature of the cardholder.
8K Display Table
Ideal for art galleries, photo studios, car agencies, travel or decoration, multi-touch LED screens with 8K resolution are a great demonstration and sales tool if installed as an innovative counter-type table. They allow up to four people to touch the screen simultaneously to interact with its contents, examine in detail the image of an object or review the combinations of colors, textures and patterns in a given design.
LED Tower
From the use of LED panels with Full HD resolution, screens can be created in the form of walls or towers that serve to display the history of a brand, support a launch or describe the progress of a product or service. LED technology for giant screens provides a very attractive cost-benefit ratio for its simple content management, low maintenance, ease of installation and marketing options.
