Professionalization to satisfy the client

Latin America. After talking with Carlos Andrés Pérez, Project Manager at SEEL, it is very clear that what this young Colombian engineer is passionate about is the concept of customer satisfaction.

Graduated from the District University of Colombia, as an Electronics Engineer, Carlos Andrés found his first job at SEEL S.A., a Bogota company with more than 40 years of experience in the audiovisual integration industry, and since that time, eight years ago, he has known how to take advantage of opportunities, prepare technically and earn a place within the team of professionals of this company.

As part of his professional training, he has taken several courses on network management, a diploma in Project Management and recently prepared to pass the exam with which he obtained his certification as a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) from AVIXA.

"I consider it very important that audiovisual integration companies have certified personnel that allow them to comply with the different standards and guidelines of the industry, as this generates greater confidence in the client," says Carlos Andrés. "A company with certified technicians with CTS level is prepared to develop any project, cover all the requirements of the client and leave him fully satisfied with the final result."

One of the most recent projects in which he participated, and of which he is very proud, is the magnificent Cinemateca Distrital, in Bogotá, whose 8,500 square meters are dedicated to cinema and audiovisual disciplines. In it, the SEEL team integrated a series of technological solutions, with hundreds of products from different manufacturers, ranging from projection rooms, to digital laboratories or interactive classrooms.

"It was a very beautiful project, not only for the technological solution, but for the cultural contribution that was made to the city. I am excited to see the way in which citizens have received and embraced the Cinematheque. Knowing that our work not only works well, but will remain as a legacy for Bogotá, is extremely gratifying," he confesses.

These types of projects motivate Carlos Andrés, who is not satisfied with the CTS certification and has set the goal of reaching the CTS-D level (Certified Technology Specialist - Design). "I agree with the training work that AVIXA does, as it is essential that all members of the industry reach a high level of professionalization," explains the SEEL engineer. "Although a certification is an individual achievement that makes me happy, I am convinced that the most important thing is that my clients know that there are people and companies with the necessary knowledge to do things well, in the best way and within the established budget. Our industry must commit to that," concludes Carlos Andrés.

For those who, like Carlos Andrés Pérez, want to obtain their CTS certification, AVIXA has different tools available to get ready for the exam, such as the CTS Prep 2020 Virtual Course or the new edition of the Exam Guide for CTS candidates.
