The HDMI audio extractor (de-embedder) and inserter (embedder), HD-AUD-IO, is a device that simultaneously extracts audio and allows you to embed external audio, with EDID management with EDID learning and loading functions.
The product has an HDMI input and a corresponding HDMI output. The HDMI input audio signal is simultaneously extracted to analog and digital SPDIF of two L/R channels. Users can select which audio to embed in the HDMI output. It can be the same as the original HDMI (pass-through), digital SPDIF or analog L/R 3.5mm audio.
It allows the equalization of HDMI cable, supporting cable lengths of up to 20 meters.
Advanced EDID management allows users to control the video part and the audio part of EDID. The EDID presented to the video source connected to the HDMI input can be passed from the receiving device or emulate an EDID from the internal memory. The device can also "learn" the EDID connected to its HDMI output.
The device has the ability to generate and output a blank HDMI signal with built-in audio, even if there is no HDMI input, a convenient means of distributing audio signals only over an HDMI network.
