The Quantum Expansion IN and Quantum Expansion OUT cards simplify the design, integration and operation of large video walls. The cards link up to five Quantum Ultra frames together, extending the high-speed HyperLane between processors.
This makes each input source available for all video outputs. Quantum Ultra outputs are synchronized across all frames, which maintains image synchronization and eliminates video tearing. The integration of Quantum Ultra processors configured with Quantum expansion cards provides a flexible system design for large video walls without the need for front switching or distribution amplifiers.
In turn, it has a maximum throughput of 400 Gbps, enough to simultaneously carry more 4K/60 sources with 4:4:4 chroma sampling.It also possesses the bandwidth needed to support evolving signal formats, such as HDR, greater color depth, and expanded color gamut.
In addition, fonts can be placed in windows and located anywhere on the video screen. Static image files, such as logos and maps, can be stored locally in Quantum Ultra and displayed with full alpha channel and encoding support.
