KNX Days Virtual Mexico exceeded expectations

Mexico. On April 27, the virtual congress of KNX Days Mexico was held, in order to network educate, share ideas and increase general awareness about the KNX standard in the field of home and building automation.

In this space we have topics such as KNX Solutions for energy efficiency, KNX standard, new design considerations, visualization of information of a KNX installation, Welcome to the future of smart homes and buildings with KNX IoTech, general advances and KNX projects in the country and KNX reactivation in Latin America.

It was then, as from the Association of KNX Mexico it was possible to address in depth different analyzes on the new energy efficiency solutions for both residential and office projects, strategies through KNX to make projects more efficient, as well as adjust to the new market requirements in terms of certifications (LEED, WELL).

Additionally, the new considerations accepted for KNX standard by the International KNX Association and how to apply these new rules in system designs were discussed and common failures in large KNX systems or integration with other systems were exposed. Some tips for the design in the topology were also explained, in order to ensure the performance of the system.

The conferences were given by Casto Cañavete, director of KNX; Diego González, Head of the Caribbean and Mexico Zone – Jung; Rimack de Manuel Quiñones Osorio, KNX Tutor since 2011, with significant experience in KNX, BACnet and BMS systems integration – NUBECOM; Jahaziel Zaid Márquez Hernández, Product Marketing Specialist - Home & Building Automation Solutions / Energy Efficient Devices – ABB and Edgar Iván Cienfuegos, Building Automation.

It is worth noting that KNX Days Virtual Mexico, was attended by more than 200 people who were interested in learning about the protocol.
