The new LCP and RPC Power Control series of lighting control panels now feature simplified native support for the Building Automation and Control Network (BACnet) communication protocol. With the Square D G3 Powerlink controllable circuit breaker platform, LynTec solutions can be more quickly and easily integrated into a building automation system that employs this open communication standard, saving a lot of time and labor on installation.

Notably, the open-standard BACnet protocol was specifically developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) so that building automation and control systems, such as HVAC, lighting, access, and fire detection, can easily function to communicate with each other.

Also, LynTec has incorporated IP versions of BACnet into each LCP and RPC board (including narrow profile models) as a standard control interface option. These boards are easily implemented and can be operated autonomously.
