The U2-160-4 is a USB 2.0 extender with a 4-Port Hub function on the remote control for connection of up to 4 USB devices. Hall Research's extender sends USB signals over a CAT5e/6 cable up to 50 meters with data rates of 480 Mbps.
In most applications the extender does not need additional power support as it is extracted from the host and sent over the CAT5e/6 cable. A universal power supply is included for use with hungry USB device sources.
The U2-160 supports any usb device with high speed (480 Mb/s), full speed (12 Mb/s) and slow speed (1.5 Mb/s). They are economical and do not require a software driver.
