Dolby Digital Plus support is an audio encoder in processing sub-modules, which Miranda includes in its signal processor products, with the aim of adding an expansion to the modules for the XVP-3901 3Gbps/HD/SD up/down/cross converter cards, as well as others in the Destiné modulation platform, now everyone can take advantage of the Dolby Digital Plus audio processing sub-modules.
This means that it will follow the same quality of audio compression, but the data rate will be 50% less than the current required, allowing multichannel 5.1 audio at rates as low as 192kbps. With Dolby Digital Plus, streams will be able to deliver multi-channel surround sound across multiple platforms and content.
Likewise, users can select the preferred audio encoding mode through the processing card interface at the time of setup, which provides the flexibility to select the audio compression process that best suits the overall needs of the company and the application.
