Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) is a business area of Sandvik Group, a holding company with operations in more than 130 countries and more than 15,500 employees. This company needed a solution to manage the large amount of information it generated and get it quickly and easily to all its staff. The solution was found in Onelan.
Sandvik Shanghai needed to install a system that would allow its different departments to update their data in their respective zones, that would work quickly to achieve immediacy, that would be easy to use and intuitive, that could work with high-definition MPEG and JPEGS videos, and that would have the ability to display live TV channels.
SMC Shanghai installed a Onelan Net-Top-Box (NTB) 5505 publisher/subscriber, in addition to three NTB 510 subscribers to operate eight screens located at different points in its offices. In this way, in addition to keeping all its employees informed, the company managed to keep its visitors entertained with corporate videos broadcast on the screens of its reception.
