One of the segments that presents the least growth within the audiovisual industry is home automation. Although more and more technologies are developed that are easy to use and accessible to the end user, this segment is not growing as it should in Latin America.
When talking to industry professionals about this situation, they point to several factors as a consequence. The main one is the perception that these solutions have high cost and are for people with high economic capacity.
Another factor is the lack of knowledge of the solutions that can be used in residences, and that today there are some simple ones on the market that can be used for all people. And finally, which in my opinion is the most serious, are the poorly performed installations.
Even today the number of integrations in residences that are carried out with equipment that is not adequate is high, which are defective or simply do not work due to the bad practices of the integrator or their ignorance.
And it is no secret to anyone that a dissatisfied customer will not look for a solution of this type again, which is reflected in the growth of the sector and ends up affecting the entire market.
Therefore, it is essential that industry professionals think beyond the immediate profit of a particular business and always have the vision that each integration is a contribution to an industry that is developing in our region.
