In a world that is becoming increasingly audiovisual, segments of this industry such as digital signage have great potential for growth. And this can be seen in the solutions found in more and more places, from the information screens for an airport to the water taps of a public bathroom.
To recognize this potential and the work of the audiovisual industry in this segment, AVI LATINOAMÉRICA magazine presents for the first time to the industry a report on digital signage in the region, focused on companies that manage digital signage networks. In this edition you can find the ranking with the 50 companies divided into five regions: Mexico, Central America, Andean Region, Brazil and Southern Cone.
In the preparation of this report we identified two problems, which can be transversal to the entire audiovisual industry: the lack of end-user information on the scope of digital signage solutions and the need to work together between companies in the sector through partnerships.
In the audiovisual industry there are important associations, such as AVIXA, which promote the training and professionalization of the industry with global standards. But there are other barriers such as local regulations and end users in each country, which make local work necessary that when executed by each company individually becomes more wasteful.
I know of several attempts by local associations that have failed to consolidate due to fear, jealousy and even lack of time of the same companies in the industry. The invitation is to think of this as a possibility to develop industry and generate even greater growth.
