Latin America. Sergio Severo was named Vice President & General Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean for Hitachi Vantara. Severo will be focused on driving robust growth in the region, serving customers and promoting collaboration among the company's internal teams.
"The conditions are ripe for Double-digit Hitachi Vantara growth in Latin America. My mission is to demonstrate to the corporation the great opportunities, despite the economic and political challenges, of the region," adds the executive.
In particular, the Mexican market, he believes, "is close to an explosion in the use of data, the information is already held by companies, but they still do not know how to take advantage of them, in Hitachi we consider ourselves in a privileged position to achieve it".
Sergio has over 25 years of sales and management experience, leading regional and global organizations for the largest software and technology companies in the world. He joins Hitachi Vantara after working at SAP; Previously, Sergio spent more than 15 years at Hewlett Packard, leading several software, product and service groups.
Severo is of Uruguayan nationality and a U.S. citizen, has lived with his family in several countries of America. He will be based in Miami, FL. He is a graduate of the University of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, as an Electrical Engineer, Digital Systems and Telecommunications, has an MBA from UCUDAL and postgraduate courses from IPADE in Mexico, Stanford and Harvard University.
