Five women will be recognized for their work in the consumer electronics industry and will be honored by the organization Women in Consumer Electronics (CE) with the Legacy Awards 2012, which they will receive during a reception to be held in January within the framework of the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Carol Campbell, founder of Women in CE, explained the reasons for this recognition "we are very happy to be able to recognize the contribution that these women have made to consumer electronics. This year's honorees represent a broad sector of our industry, underscoring the significant impact women have had for the growth of this field."
The women chosen this year for their contribution in this field were Maureen C. Jenson, editor-in-chief of CustomRetailer magazine; Kristen Cook, Executive Vice President and General Manager of BDSmktg; Denise Gibson, former president of BrightStar; Jeanette Howe, CEO of Specialty Electronics Nationwide; and Tricia Nystrom, best buy's audio division product manager.
