International. Voice applications, including sound reinforcement, broadcasting and audio recording, are those brought by the new intelliMix SCM820 digital automatic mixer, eight channels, presented by the company Shure.
It provides optimal microphone activation for a particular speaker, while dimming microphones that are not being used at the right time. By minimizing the number of open microphones, the SCM820 increases capacity and gain before feedback and reduces background noise.
A selection of five IntelliMix mode presets, including a "Smooth" mode, combine automatic mixing with the gain structure compartment, along with traditional benefits, thus allowing its performance to be quickly adapted to suit a variety of situations.
When operating in dual mixing mode, microphone channels can be sent independently to mix outputs A and B, making it easy to reinforce and record simultaneously using different modes.
Enhanced connectivity is provided through two options, either DB25 or block connectors, each with eight analog input channels. The Dante digital audio network is available as an option on any of the models and can be added in field applications with the addition of the upgrade card.
Direct outputs for each channel can be configured as "gated" (i.e. to be used as an insert processor with a mixing console) or "gateless" (where separate recordings are required for each individual channel).
