Nelson Baumgratz, CTS-D, new manager of InfoComm Brazil

Brazil. The growth that the audiovisual industry has had in Latin America in recent years has allowed InfoComm's presence to be increasingly stronger, with the help of its regional director, Rodrigo Casassus Coke, CTS®.

To support the Association's regional presence, Nelson Baumgratz, CTS-D was appointed as InfoComm's manager in Brazil. According to Rodrigo Casassus, this appointment was made because "Brazil is the largest market in Latin America and presents unique challenges that can be solved if one has the ideal person in the country. With Nelson Baumgratz as InfoComm's Manager for Brazil we not only cover that, but we have one of the most dedicated representatives to the development of the AV industry in Brazil over the past 10 years."

For his part, Nelson Baumgratz said that "it is an honor to be chosen to work with the Association. I have been at InfoComm since 2004 when I started working with professional AV. Now we need to listen to the needs of the industry in Brazil and how the Association can help solve them."

He pointed out some of the challenges it will have to assume: increasing the base of InfoComm members in Brazil; having more technical and training content in Portuguese; seeking that professionals apply technical standards to have higher quality in the industry; seek greater knowledge of the Association among end users so that they demand from professionals higher quality and compliance with standards, among others.

On the possibility of having country managers for other countries in the region, Rodrigo Casassus said that "Many internationally renowned companies settled in Latin America and this gave a great boost to the entire region. As for InfoComm we have been developing the Latin American market for almost 10 years and during the last four years, by settling in with regional fairs, we showed our commitment to the industry and the education of our technicians throughout Latin America and Brazil. We look forward to reaching major markets with Country Managers in the coming years."
