Juan Carlos Chávez, Christie's new regional director

Latin America. Christie announced that Juan Carlos Chavez has joined the company as its new director for Latin America. He will be responsible for helping Christie strengthen and expand its significant presence throughout Latin America, in particular in consolidating the company's rapid growth in Brazil and Mexico. He will oversee strong developments in the markets of cinema, rental & staging, fixed installations, visualization and simulation, distribution and audio solutions.

Juan Carlos Chavez reports to Jeff Klaas, Christie's Vice President of Sales for the Americas. "We are thrilled to welcome Juan into the Christie family. Brazil, Mexico and other key countries will continue to be an important part of our focus on the region, as Juan develops strategies to help us expand into new territories and improve our distribution channels. I am confident that Juan's extensive knowledge and success within the Latin American markets will play a huge role in accelerating our growth rate in the region," Klaas said.

Juan Carlos Chávez comes to Christie from NEC Display Solutions where, as sales director for Latin America, he was responsible for the design, development and implementation of the company's Latin American sales strategy. Chavez helped NEC achieve impressive year-over-year sales growth that far exceeded forecasts, helping the company position itself in Latin America's largest countries in key vertical markets, such as retail, education, healthcare and government. He was also responsible for developing successful channels and strategies that included retail chains, wholesalers and resellers.

"It is a privilege to join Christie, whose reputation for providing superior quality products, technical expertise and customer service is one of the best in the industry," chavez said.
