International. CEDIA announced that industry veteran Vincent Bruno will join the Association as its new CEO next month. CEDI had reported the search for a CEO earlier this year following the decision to resign from Executive Director Don Gilpin.
Bruno brings a deep industry knowledge to the role of CEO. For the past seven years, he has been the Chief Marketing Officer of Crestron Electronics, guiding the company's global marketing strategy and leading a large team of professionals around the world.
Prior to his role at Crestron, Bruno served as Vice President of VCOM International Multimedia Corporation, a professional AV and digital equipment distributor. During his five years at VCOM, he drove double-digit sales growth.
"In addition to his passion for the industry, Vincent has excellent experience in global business development and leadership," said O'Connor Tabatha, COO of CEDIA. "The Board of Directors believes that it will be successful in creating and managing the strategic vision of the organization and positioning CEDI members, trusted professionals with stakeholders."
"As the association represents the industry, CEDIA has important responsibilities; to be the connector, to provide vision, leadership and education that elevates the entire residential custom installation market. I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to lead the organization, based on its strong foundation and positioning for the future," Bruno said.
The announcement of Bruno's arrival at CEDIA comes just as the association prepares for the annual Expo to be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, October 14-17.
Bruno is a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Business Review and author of the chapter titled "Achieving Global Success" in the 2010 book: Inside the Mind Improving Market Performance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Montclair State University and a Master of Science in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
