Tempest's Blizzard boxes have been used to protect six high-performance Christie S+14K-M projectors as part of a management project by creative KAOS and its sister company, Proluxon.
The Campeche region is full of history and culture, since it was the place of a flourishing Mayan civilization and inhabited since 3000 BC. Night owls can now enjoy the 30-minute show 'Celebremos Campeche' in the beautiful centre of the capital, where the façade of the library building is transformed into a moving mural that brings back the region's unique heritage. The permanent installation is presented several times a week, with a series of 3D animations and advanced projection techniques.
The Blizzard Tempest boxes used in the project are specially designed for digital projectors from 3,000 to 15,000 ANSI lumens. The boxes have ensured continuous protection against dust, sand and water ingress, as well as safely shielding sensitive technologies from the Mexican sun.
Through its innovative Goldilocks™ system, these enclosures eliminate overheating and condensation. Goldilocks keeps the environment around the projector in optimal condition, removing heat when the lamp is on or when the enclosure is heated by the sun, and working 24/7 to prevent the formation of potentially harmful condensation.
"This was a challenging and very rewarding project, we were delighted with the service we received from Tempest," said Valy Tremblay, Production Manager at Proluxon. "They provide excellent technical support, with excellent response times. The end result is simply stunning – a mapping projection screen that the Campeche region can be proud of. The show encapsulates the spirit of the Campeche region and its people in a powerful medium."
"We are delighted to see such a fantastic result," added Tim Burnham, President of Tempest. "It is exciting to play a role in this exciting installation, with our boxes providing excellent protection to the projector. We are very proud to be a key component in this type of facility, enabling the creation of immersive and engaging video mapping shows around the world. Regardless of local weather conditions, we can ensure that the projectors will be well protected from the elements."
