Latin America. Almost a year ago, Juan Carlos Chávez took over as Christie's director for Latin America, during which time the company made a series of changes in order to better serve a market with wide growth possibilities such as our region.
Juan Carlos Chávez told AVI LATINOAMÉRICA that upon joining the company there was a great team established and his task was to empower them even more and make some changes that would help unify efforts to streamline solutions to customers in a more institutional way.
Today Christie has a strong structure in the region. Its offices in Brazil and Mexico, which were previously established, were joined by two new ones, Nola and Sola, which serve the northern and southern part of Latin America, respectively.
"By creating these two new zones, which are in charge of Diego López from Colombia and Jorge García from Chile, we managed to have a much more manageable geographical area, each with the capacity to offer the entire line of Christie products," said Juan Carlos Chávez.
He added that now the next step is to establish a physical office for each of these new regions, Nola and Sola, thus allowing to have a sales department and a technical support department that provides quick solutions to customers, replicating the model established in Mexico and Brazil.
Finally, he pointed out that despite the economic and political situation that the region is experiencing, during the last fiscal year that goes from April to March, they grew by 30% in the region. In part, it's because the end user is becoming more sophisticated and Christie's strategy has been to be close to the end user.
