Colombia. On August 19, an agreement was signed between InfoComm International and the Ministry of Education of Bogotá, initially for one year, which seeks to train 400 students from official schools in the Capital District.
The idea is that young people between 15 and 19 years of age enhance their skills and abilities for the development of competencies in such a way that they are able to design their life project and can perform their work within the Professional Audiovisual Industry in Colombia in the coming years.
Students will have access to two of InfoComm's online courses: Quick Start in the AV Industry and The Fundamentals of the AV Industry for Technical and Sales Professionals; and the 100-question exam, awarded by the Certificate of Audiovisual Technician Recognized by InfoComm, RAVT.
These courses and the exam will provide students with the foundation for their professional development within the professional AV Industry. These certifications serve to expand the curriculum vitae of students, giving added value to the knowledge acquired in district educational institutions and a certificate that is recognized by members of the Professional Audiovisual industry in Colombia and Latin America.
The agreement was signed during the II Meeting with Entrepreneurs and Foundations, in which the mayor of Bogotá, Enrique Peñalosa and the Secretary of Education, María Victoria Angulo; where InfoComm contributes to the actions being carried out by the Ministry of Education in improving the education of children and young people in the District.
