Mexico and digital signage for 2017

Mexico. It is a reality that the digital signage industry in Mexico has established itself as a more than desirable technology in different verticals; today it has become an important differentiator between "those who provide a digital environment and those who do not".

Users live day by day with screens, information kiosks, displays with interactive menus, menu boards and fully digitized bank branches.

What lies ahead in 2017 is not some technological challenge to overcome or fight to validate the effectiveness of digital integrations. Undoubtedly, the challenge will be to look inside the industry and work together to achieve its total organization and establish "good practices" that must be followed by all the projects that are developed. But who is the body responsible for setting these parameters?

The Digital Signage Association Mexico (DSMX) has taken charge of this task. Its members are professionals in the digital signage industry and experts in all its aspects. These professionals have worked for several years to establish a common front that represents the entire industry with the aim of being a body that provides confidence to all investors who want to include digital signage in their verticals.

Why would it be important to have an association that represents the industry? Two main reasons:

1.- The industry continues to grow. Mexico continues to represent an important business opportunity for digital signage. Demand has not decreased since 2015 and projects continue to appear that represent interesting challenges for the capacity of content integrators and creators. All these projects require professionals who work with high-level standards, so helping those who want to be experts in the industry is a task that the Association promotes.

2.- International growth depends on being organized. 2017 will be the third consecutive year in which the Digital Signage Mexico Association is invited to the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas with a pavilion for all Latin Americans looking to do business in Mexico and for all investors looking for a strategic partner to invest in our country. It is not possible to attract business if we are not represented and organized internationally.

2017 is an interesting year for Digital Signage and all its players. The challenge will be to be ready to work as a team and learn to set common goals with the rest of the professional companies in Mexico.
