Epson focuses on high-brightness projectors

Juan CamposISE. At the event of the audiovisual industry in the Netherlands, Epson will be present to consolidate the launches made during the last months, related to laser projectors and high luminosity, above 15 thousand lumens.

AVI LATINOAMÉRICA spoke with Juan Campos, director for Latin America of the company, who stressed that at the stand at ISE a mapping will be carried out that will have as its central axis a Formula 1 vehicle and in which several units of its 25 thousand lumens projector will be used, the highest that the company has.

He stressed that "ISE is an opportunity to reinforce the brand's latest launches in laser technology. Among others, the high luminosity and laser solutions for professional segments, in addition to the different types of lenses, as a novelty the short-throw lens".

Another of the novelties of Epson in ISE is the line of virtual reality products, with which demonstrations will be held for different applications of the market, such as museums, cinemas, among others. This solution will be launched in Latin America in the second half of the year.

As far as Latin America is concerned, one of the novelties is the projector for the corporate segment of ultra-short shot, completely interactive, HD, with the ability to project to a 120-inch screen at a distance of 30 centimeters. These devices will be available in the region from April this year.

Finally, Juan Campos pointed out that "2017 will be a year with many challenges for the entire visual market, several countries have a better position and recovery, so we will focus on expanding the product portfolio, particularly in the high luminosity market, of more than 10 thousand lumens, which has put Epson in a favorable position for new businesses in this segment".

In education, Epson is developing important projects in the region, such as in Argentina, where they will deliver 4000 projectors to the Ministry of Education, or in Peru, where they delivered 3000 projectors in December.
