Mexico. Grupo ADJ celebrated the opening of its new distribution center in Mexico with a party that included inspiring light shows, great food, even better company and a 12-piece mariachi band. The new facility, which serves all ADJ Group brands (ADJ, Elation Professional, Acclaim Lighting, Global Truss America/Duratruss and American Audio), opened its doors late last year in response to the high demand for ADJ brands in Mexico.
"This has been a great trip with a lot of work from a lot of people and we were excited about the attendance of more than 200 people," said John Lopez, International Sales Manager for Elation Professional and Acclaim Lighting. "This new location really allows our customers in Mexico and Central America to be part of the Grupo ADJ family."
The event was attended by distributors and rental partners from across the region, as well as representatives from ADJ Group's Los Angeles headquarters, including ADJ Group President Toby Velazquez and International Sales Manager for ADJ, Global Truss and American Audio, Ernesto Velázquez.
"We are proud to be in Mexico directly for the first time as a group of companies," said the group's president, Toby Velázquez. "We have an incredible team in Mexico that shares the same philosophies as our entire Group. The aim is to offer customers the best service, training, state of the art in the showroom and products available."
Guests enjoyed a lunch of local specialties, while Ernesto Velázquez showed the strong connection between the new facility in Mexico and the ADJ Group's other facilities in Los Angeles (HQ), Miami and the Netherlands (European HQ).
"Someone mentioned to me that there was no lighting company in all of Mexico that brought to Mexico what is common in the United States, Europe and Asia," Lopez shared. "But here we are doing it with higher-level facilities. There is a world-class lighting showroom similar to that of our Los Angeles headquarters, a large storage area, on-site service department, and inside sales. This is a true commitment to the market."
Mexican sales office staff and service representatives, warehouse members and administrators were introduced, including director Abraham Levit, who runs the facility. Guests watched two stunning light shows – an Elation light show scheduled by Elation LD Shawn Butcher's headquarters, and an ADJ light show programmed by ADJ LD Edgar Gonzalez. "We started at noon and left until 7:00 p.m., but even then there were some who didn't want to leave," Lopez concluded after a busy day. "It was a great day and a great way to start our new Mexican office."
The new ADJ Products Group Mexico plant is located at AV Santa Ana 30, Parque Industrial Lerma, Lerma, Mexico 52000.
