Projection of Ideas, a company that specializes in the audiovisual field provides design, realization, implementation and content solutions for corporate events, massive, scenographies for festivals and television programs, museography, fixed installations, among others. It has more than 30 specialists and state-of-the-art equipment.
"We are motivated to represent Chile from a local company, in a building as emblematic and beautiful as the National Museum of Fine Arts, and what it represents for our country. This is a fact that will remain as a milestone in our trajectory. It is a great opportunity to be able to carry out this project and with high-level technical support," said Juan Carlos Vidal, from Proyección de Ideas.
"This is a great initiative of Epson, which brings the art of mapping to many capitals in Latin America and gives space to new and established artists to express their talent. In this way, Epson allows the audience of those cities to have a special playful moment with extreme delicacy and sensitivity. The art of mapping is a gift to cities, it is to grow the best thing inside us: creativity," added VJ Spetto, jury.
The Mapping Challenge Chile will also be a reference for Küzefest, the first light festival in the country's capital. Artists, designers and audiovisual specialists, as well as citizens, will come together to resignify and enchant the city through light. In addition, you can enjoy numerous activities in the surroundings of the most important museums in the area. The video projections of mapping on facades of buildings and the lighting interventions will be the main protagonists of this project. Küzefest is free, inclusive and diverse for the audience, and will be held between October 18 and 21.
The objective of this Epson initiative is to show the innovative technology of its video projectors and their use in large-scale shows, where they stand out for their performance and the quality of their projections. In addition, the company wants to celebrate with its customers the cultural diversity of the continent, the indigenous talent and the application of technology to transform everyday life.
"From Epson we seek to add value to mass events through the image quality of our projectors and light power. We want visual artists, production companies and rental companies to develop their maximum creative potential and generate new instances to promote culture, as well as brand events, sports, and many others," said Soledad Camps, Marketing Manager Epson Chile.
The Mapping Challenge will tour eight latin American countries: Mexico, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil and Argentina, which were chosen to unite the cutting-edge technology of Epson's laser video projectors with local talent and history in an innovative, high-impact show.
