Elation Introduced Lighting Control Brand

Latin America. A new chapter in its evolution announced Elation Professional with the launch of Obsidian Control Systems, an accessible line of advanced and intuitive lighting control products.

Following the completion in late March of the acquisition of Harman's M-Series range of entertainment lighting controllers, Elation received valuable feedback from the thousands of M Series users worldwide. "Based on this feedback, we seek to create a dedicated company and brand approach to the continued development and evolution of the product series. Obsidian's development will continue to focus on stable and compatible software and hardware for all existing M-series products," said Elation's Director of Sales and Marketing, Eric Loader.

Obsidian Control Systems software and hardware is designed and maintained by lighting professionals so that professionals can excel at the highest level. It is easy to use and accessible to all levels of users, whether it is a novice programmer or a designer at the highest level.

"Our pillars are that we believe in innovating together to create intuitive products that are progressive and reliable. We wonder what it would be like to remove creative and financial obstacles so that designers and programmers can go beyond what they had before, and so that the next generation can be taught and fostered. By innovating together, we are creating products that are user-centric. We have the user in mind and they can always speak directly to our innovative team with feedback," continued Loader.
